Pastor Jay Stewart and his wife Melanie started The Refuge Church in 2004 and have seen the church grow to reaching several thousand people weekly through campuses in North Carolina, Brazil, and West Africa.  After nearly four decades of full-time vocational ministry, he loves to offer help to other pastors by sharing from both his victories and defeats.  He regularly coaches other pastors as well as serving on several church and ministry boards.  His most recent book “Welded – Forming Racial Bonds that Last” (Nov. 2020) is having an impact across the nation, in prisons, and in other countries.
